Hello,
I'm Pamela.
Your Strength + Wellness Coach
I believe that it takes a combination of practical tools and emotional support to tackle life's toughest challenges, that anything is possible, and that it's easier with the right support.
I also believe that wellness programs need to be unique for each individual and flexible to accommodate whatever life throws at us.
That's why every program I design is tailored to my client's unique needs, goals, and lifestyle and contains a combination of physical movement, nutritional recommendations, and emotional support.
I am an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach and hold an RYT200 Yoga Certification from the Mazé Method School.
I offer in-person training and virtual coaching sessions to support you on your wellness journey.

My Story
My desire to be healthy started in my mid 40s. I had just gone through my second divorce, and by this point both my parents had died. I was stress “dieting” – eating very little due to a lack of appetite, and not keeping down the little I did consume. When I did eat, it was usually quick and easy, and definitely comfort foods. For me this meant a lot of carbs and sugars – pasta, bread, baked goods, fruit.
Slowly I started to work out, and within a year I was working out a lot. I was putting in about 10 miles a week hiking and almost as many running. I was taking Zumba classes 3-4 times a week, and going to salsa clubs at least 2-3 times a week. I was also going to the gym multiple times, including working with a personal trainer 3 days a week.
I needed to change...
Although intellectually I knew I needed to change my eating habits to support that kind of physical stress on my body, emotionally it was just too hard. It was so much easier to keep eating what was quick and readily accessible. Sandwiches and burritos were pretty much my only source of protein, and my go-to at mealtimes. Because I ate so much fruit and rarely any fast food, I convinced myself I was eating healthy.
With the help of a nutrition coach, a personal coach, and some really good friends, I was able to create the balance I needed in my health. I was finally eating more protein and greens and less sugary-starchy carbs. I was eating on a much more regular schedule, and less sporadically. I was finally sleeping and feeling better. My energy and moods weren’t so up and down.
Fast forward several years...
A few years ago I ended a 5-year relationship. Like so many of us do in relationships, I had put aside my priorities, needs, and desires. My physical, mental, and spiritual health were all suffering. I had slowly gained weight, stopped working out, and was eating really poorly again. I wasn’t sleeping well and I found myself back on the roller coaster of energy and mood swings.
I decided, once again, that I needed to make a change. I started running again and found that it was more of a struggle than ever before. Instead of listening to what my body was telling me, I kept pushing myself, thinking that I was just “out of shape”. Extremely low energy and difficulty recovering from workouts eventually led to a diagnosis of severe anemia. Thankfully, that part of my life is behind me, and I am back on the road to my best health.
This is me...
Today I find joy in sharing wellness with others, cooking and exploring new recipes, running and practicing yoga, and providing my body with fun, physical challenges. I also dedicate myself daily to an all around healthier lifestyle even though it isn’t always easy. This year has been a challenging one for all of us and a great reminder that my health is worth the effort.
I am worth it. I believe that you are worth it too.
"Pamela is an amazing yoga instructor and personal trainer. I have known her for many years now and have worked with her in both capacities. She has always been in tune with my needs and has designed excellent programs that fit my lifestyle and desired challenge level while helping me reach my goals. I would highly encourage anyone who wants to become a healthier version of themselves to work with Pamela!"

"I'm so glad I met Pamela. I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and was told that I needed to change my diet drastically and Pamela helped me through an 8-week nutrition coaching program. With Pamela's help, I not only gained the knowledge that I needed to help me get going in the right direction, but I also lost the 10 pounds that was my goal when we started. After our weekly meetings, she followed up with a summary of what we talked about and what I had agreed to work on throughout the week and beyond. I really can't measure how happy and grateful I feel for being able to work with Pamela."
