This green smoothie is one of my go-to favorites! It's so easy to make and gives you a yummy and healthy start to your day!

When to Make It...
Although I usually eat some toast and hummus with it to really satisfy my tummy as a meal replacement, this smoothie is a great pick-me-up between meals or late afternoon.
What's in It...
Several leaves of kale - remove the stem (I prefer the Lacinato Kale personally)
Several handfuls of spinach (I like to use baby spinach myself)
8-16 oz coconut water
Half or full avocado, depending on size
Half or full cucumber, depending on size
That's it! Blend and enjoy!
Experiment with Variations...
It's easily customizable too!
I always add a scoop of protein powder to mine which helps to make my smoothie more filling and helps with workout recovery. You could add chia seeds as a protein alternative.
Sometimes I add fresh or frozen berries, apple, celery, bell peppers, and/or carrots.
If you want some flavor (and antioxidant power) try adding a bit of ginger or jalapeño.
Get creative with it! Let me know what combos work for you.
A Note on My Ninja Blender
I love my Ninja blender. It does a fabulous job whether I'm making smoothies or soups. It's easy to clean too, which is great since I use it so often. Besides, I love the name. If you're in the market for a blender, I highly recommend the Ninja. View it on Amazon now.
